Ni Chen, Ph.D.

My academic journey has taken me across multiple countries, with research conducted at the University of Hong Kong, Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics (China), Seoul National University (South Korea), King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (Saudi Arabia), and the University of Arizona (United States).

My interdisciplinary research spans EEE/ECE, Computer Science, Physics, and Optics. This diverse international experience has shaped my research philosophy: identifying the fundamental mechanisms behind challenging problems and pursuing practical solutions that transcend disciplinary boundaries.

I believe the most effective research is problem-driven, drawing from whatever fields necessary to address complex scientific challenges. This cross-disciplinary approach has become central to how I tackle research questions.
